Our Story: The Journey of Lou-bees

 

Lou-bees began with a simple purchase: my very own beeswax wraps. From the moment I used them, I was hooked on the product and the concept behind it. However, I couldn’t ignore one thing—they were, well, a bit boring. Practical, yes. Stylish? Not so much.

As someone who believes that eco-friendly products can and should look good, I started exploring the process of making beeswax wraps myself. I dived into the “whys” and “hows,” experimenting in small batches to find the perfect formula. Before long, I realized I had a knack for it. Not only were my wraps functional, but they were also stylish—exactly what I had been searching for. That’s when Lou-bees was born.

Armed with my newfound passion, I created a website and launched an Etsy shop. Now, let me be honest—I had absolutely no computer knowledge when I started. Somehow, I managed to create a website, and I’m still learning all the ins and outs of running an online business. It’s been a journey of trial and error, but one I’ve embraced wholeheartedly.

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been designing my own fabrics. Patterns like Fallen Leaves and our signature Sage Green have become an extension of my creativity, allowing me to bring personal meaning to every product. Knowing that these designs are part of homes and daily routines around the world is a feeling

What started on my kitchen table quickly grew. Today, Lou-bees operates from a purpose-built studio in my garden, a space where creativity thrives. Every product I design reflects my mission: to create stylish, eco-friendly lifestyle swaps with a touch of sustainable class.
